I have wanted to make silhouette profiles
of my kids for a while!
well, it got cold...
which kept my crafting indoors...
I started by taking a profile photo against a white wall.
I could have taken more time to get it just so...
but I figured I would fix it up enough in
photoshop...so alas, it is what it is.
I used photoshop to eliminate the background.
Select the inverse and then cut so it remained in black.
After some tweaking of lines, I saved my files as jpegs
and brought them into the silhouette software.
Once in Silhouette studio, I just had to select the trace area
and then trace outer edge.
Silhouette's tutorial is good...the photo editing
work all done in ss...not photoshop.
Super simple!
then I cut a draft on regular paper...
got the sizes to fit the frames
{which I got for 20 cents each...}
Found some paper I liked...
Presto!
Oooh! I love those little profiles!
