So, after figuring out I could fake a stencil...a friend
came over to try it out on a coffee table!
We cut a paisley pattern out on some plastic...
about 12 by 12 inches in size.
She sanded down her table top and began the painting...
same technique that I used here.
She moved the pattern around all over the table...letting it dry in between.
Then we stained the wood top...for a drastic effect!
It turned out amazing!
I've got a nightstand begging to be refinished
in the garage...maybe a stencil?
