Okay, check out yesterdays post...this is like the sister post.
River Song is a character that has a brief (but killer) role through about 3 seasons.
She is cool...and her trademark is saying "Hello Sweetie!"
So, when I moved across the country, we acquired this box...
So cute right?
I traced it onto vellum...changed up the last 2 letters by hand...
Scanned it into the computer...photoshopped in the hello!
And basically ended up with this:
Through the file into silhouette software...with some tweaking got it perfect!
18 inches wide, 7 inches tall.
Cut it out onto contact paper...go cheap when and where you can!
Weed out the parts you don't want of the vinyl.
Use transfer paper to place it on your board or surface!
Smooth down and press into place.
Paint. Go ahead, paint it!
Peel off contact paper while paint is still slightly wet.
It bled out a little too.
I know this sounds like a cop-out, but this board was
treated with something weird, and it made
whatever I did to it bleed...it's whatever!
So, I pulled out the white paint and a mini paintbrush and touched up.
Adorable even if you are not a super sci-fi Doctor WHO geek!
Perfect over the entry way to greet people upon entering!
Wow, if you look at it enough,
it's starts to look weird, mispelled and funky.

Warmly, Michelle
I'm such a Whovian and am turning my 4 year old daughter into one too... (oops) so I love that you have incorporated your kids into these projects!
Can't wait to see more on your blog! I am so glad I found you seems like we are much alike!
I love this saying so much (specially in that style) that I decided to give it a try in a t-shirt, and I totally love it!
I also have a post with a step-by-step in my blog for other whovians who want to know how to do it.
It's in spanish, sorry ;)
