Here's an easy 5-in-1 Recipe for Gourmet Chocolate Chip Cookies!
Make Sweet & Salty, Cookies 'n' Cream, Smore's and Turtles!
Here's the basic recipe:
(some ingredients not pictured)
You will bake 375* F for 8-10 minutes
Awesome Cookies
3 sticks of Butter (1 1/2 Cups)
1 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup granulated Sugar
Mix and cream
Then add:
3 eggs
2 tsp Vanilla
mix together
Then add:
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
2 Cups Oats
4 Cups Flour
Mix together
Now you have a perfect stock dough!
You can add whatever you want!
Here's what we're going to do.
Add 2 full bags of chocolate chips.
I used the top 2...dark chocolate and mini's...the melts were used later.
These are loaded. But essentially it is a double batch...so 2 bags is just right!
Split up the dough into 5 bowls.
Each bowl will make a different variety of chocolate Overlord cookies!
(yes, these aren't just overload cookies...they are Overlord Cookies)
First:
CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES!
Roll out balls of dough about the size of a ping pong ball.
We did 15 per tray. Tray is lightly greased...but I don't think it needs it.
Bake 8-10 minutes at 375 F. I do 8 minutes
Then remove them and allow them at least 5 minutes before touching them!
They need to completely finish cooking...they will be gooey until they cool.
(don't judge my pans...if you know how to clean them up perfectly...
come over and clean them, I will give you cookies!)
Next we add some fun!
SMORE'S COOKIES!
Make a tray of regular cookies. Bake 8 minutes
Make a tray of regular cookies. Bake 8 minutes
Pull out of oven and while gooey, place 3 marshmallows on
top with one baking melt chocolate disk for looks!
Then pop them under the BROILER for just a minute or
two until the marshmallows are toasted!
Perfection!
COOKIES AND CREAM
Start with your cookie dough and oreo cookies...
wrap an oreo completely in a "thin" layer of cookie dough, covering it completely!
These turn out quite large! We fit 8 on one pan
They bake up perfectly with all that oreo goodness inside!
These were way better and bigger than I expected!
SWEET AND SALTY
Take the Chocolate Chip cookie dough and add broken up pretzel sticks to it!
Makes a sweet and salty awesome flavor!
Roll out and bake the same as the regular cookies!
TURTLES
Bake a batch of regular cookies, like the smore's ones.
Pull out after 8-10 minutes and lightly press a pecan or two on top.
Then drizzle with caramel topping!
Let cool at least 5 minutes before plating!
Then plate up all your gourmet cookies!
Add some little name sticks so your guests know what they are getting into!
Okay, so yes...you did the math right.
15 cookies of each variety except the Cookies 'n Cream...only 8 of them
Grand total: 68 cookies!
Awesome spread for 1 simple batch of cookies!
In a blind taste test...the 8 year old and 10 year old love the
Cookies and Cream the best!
Followed closely by the Smore's! :)
