I cut some scrap wood into blocks.
it's about 4 inches wide.
I used 2 6" tall pieces and 2 3" tall pieces.
Sanded smooth...ready to go.
I used my PAMTite glue sticks for this one,
because I wanted them to be extra secure.
Here's the layout of what they will end up looking like:
Ran some hot glue across the 3" block...
And stuck it right to the bottom of the 6" block.
Repeat for the other side!
Then I took my plastic Dinosaur, Stegosaurus...
I got him from the dollar store...you could upcycle an old toy!
I used an x-acto knife and cut that sucker in half...
Apply a band of glue around the dinosaur body and on the feet...
and press it right onto your blocks!
And again for the backside!
Ta da! You could stop there...
but why?
T-Rex was a little trickier...but with some fancy overlapping, it works great!
Add some color!
This part is cool because it makes the piece look solid...like 1 piece,
purchased that way!
Love it--and repeat!
Stegosaurus, Triceratops and Tyrannosaurus Rex!
They would be great in a kids room on a bookshelf!
Rawr!
Love these books too!
