Frozen Icicle Candy Cupcakes!

Spend a snowy day making FROZEN Cupcakes!  Perfect for a Frozen Princess Party!  With Blue Crystal Icicle Shards for added frostiness!  Here's a great recipe for Cupcakes for four! You know, those days where you can't justify making 24 cupcakes because you know you'll eat them all! Okay, so just 4. 1 Egg 4 TBSP butter softened 4 TBSP sugar 2 tsp Vanilla 3 TBSP milk 1/2 cup Flour 1/2 tsp baking powder 2 pinches of salt  Mix the wet, add and mix the dry.  Get out 4 cupcake papers.  Fill them 2/3's full. Should use all your batter!  Bake 350* F for 15 minutes. Now, while they are baking and cooling... make your frozen icicle shard candy! Glow in the Dark Light Switch Trick!

My husband did this trick on the light switches throughout the house! It's super nice. I didn't think it was a big deal at first... now I can't imagine a house without it! First you need some luminescent tape...or glow in the dark tape. Then tape a little strip on all the light switch plates. When you turn off the light at night, they glow for a while. I can turn off the lights in the living room and there is just  enough glow on the hall light that I can see where I am going.   Way less hassle than night lights and only a one time cost. Easy. Then my hubby got extra creative and taped a strip on our ceiling fan blades. They are taped perfectly, so when the fan spins, it's like a circle of  faint light hypnotizing me to sleep.  Ha ha ha, so fun! (please ignore the dust!) Linking up to THESE parties this week!

Chinese Lantern Lights!

 Make a little string of Chinese lantern lights for  Chinese New Year this weekend (31st)  You will need a string of Christmas lights...white or colored. Red paper, tape, scissors, and a paper cutter is nice but not necessary.  I cut paper in 2 1/2 by 3 1/4" Fold paper in half...skinny way.  Cut strips on the folded edge to about 1/4" away from the other edge.  Next, open it up...  Add some tape or hot glue along one edge...  Wrap it in a circle and tape it down. Press together to make the lantern strips bow outwards.  Make one for every light bulb...or skip some lights...whatever.  I used a piece of duct tape and taped the light...  Right inside the lantern.  And repeated...16 times for me.  Then turn the lights on and presto!  Hang them up and celebrate...  I found this humerus! Perfectly funny t-shirt for a health related person!   I used my silhouette cameo and cut out flocked heat transfer vinyl in reverse.
