Wood slice Chalkboard Ornaments!
I got an adorable log and sliced it into 1/2 inch slices.
I used black paint and a clear chalkboard coating paint.
Just paint them whatever color you desire.
We went with the traditional black.
Let it dry completely.Paint with the clear chalkboard coating...
Then drill a small hole in the top and tie on some twine!
Rub the entire chalkboard surface with the side of a small piece of chalk.
Then erase it.
This just "seasons" the chalkboard and makes it ready for writing!
Now you can write whatever you want!
I bought this awesome chalk pencil...so I can write with a thin chalk for more detail!
You can hang them on the tree...or
attach them to gifts as the tags! Super cute and fun!
(if you have REAL Christmas trees, you could always cut the
trunk up after the holidays and make a bunch!)
