Make Rice Using a Pressure Cooker!!!

Make Rice Using a Pressure Cooker!!! I received a fabulous Magic Mill Programmable Electric pressure cooker  at a very reduced price to test out in exchange for my review! I got the 10 quart size, not the 12...and it seems more than adequate for my family of 5. It comes with a the pressure pot, the stainless steel inside cooking bowl, an extra rubber ring for sealing, 2 varying trivets, measuring cup and spoon, and big tongs for removing cooking bowl. And the directions booklet, totally tells you all the details on how to work  the machine and all the troubleshooting, just in case! I added 2 cups of rice. Then 4 cups of water. Set and twisted the lid on and in place Pushed the "Rice" button and done! Just press rice, it will begin to pressurize and then the timer  will start once the pressure has been reached. If it steams and squeals like a teapot, it's not sealed correctly. So use a hot pad to tighten the valve on top of the lid...

Kitchen Table/Island with Casters!!!

Kitchen Table/Island with Casters!!!  This is a project I wanted to do for a long time! I wanted a table, that was counter height--so it could double as an island... but on wheels...for mobility. I was sent these amazing casters from Rockler in exchange for this post. 4" Polyurethane Casters, Total-Lock Swivel (Plate Mount)  So, I knew I wanted casters. But I didn't know anything about casters before this project. These are amazing.  They are strong, they lock solid, they are easy to release. They roll smoothly and all around. They are worth the money.  The table we inherited was counter height. If we put the casters on the legs of the table, they wouldn't have the support they need... and it would make the table 5.5 inches taller.  We've been renovating our house. We have it all trimmed out in pine. Nevermind the plaid couch that needs recovering... or the floral rug...it's to protect our beautiful la...

Don't Forget to Flush Vinyl Arrow!

Don't Forget to Flush Vinyl Arrow!  I used vinyl from Expressions Vinyl! ~ We moved into this house at the beginning of March. I have constantly had to remind my kids to flush the toilet. I cornered my youngest son and he said it's because the flusher is on top on this toilet. So I did something to fix the problem. And you know what?  It worked! I received this fun sample pack of vinyl from Expressions Vinyl at Snap conference. I love this glittery coral vinyl and decided it would be perfect for the arrow.  I used my Silhouette cameo to cut a fun vintage arrow. I used a cutter, but you could just cut it with scissors!  I weeded off the excess vinyl.  I like weeding!  Then peeled the outside edge and placed it on the freshly clean and dried toilet lid.  It's awesome.  It's bright.  It's glittery. It's impossible to miss!  I used the inside arrow for the second bathroom. It's perfection. No mo...

Congratulations Burlap Bunting Banner!

Congratulations Burlap Bunting Banner! There is always reason to celebrate! I found out that my sister in law had been at her current employment for 9 years and we decided to celebrate! I think it's important to celebrate every day. Sorry about the pictures.  This banner turned out way longer than I expected!  I had some gorgeous burlap paper from DCWV You can find it here I cut into 2 inch by 3.5 inch pieces! And red paper 1/2 inch smaller so it would have a 1/4 inch border.  I used a pen to write C-O-N-G-R-A-T-U-L-A-T-I-O-N-S on each piece. Again, this is MUCH too long of a word for a banner. Try a word that only has 5-8 letters...like Congrats or Party or Yay... Okay, 3 letters would be great too. I added some rhinestone swirls for decoration  Hot glued the pieces in order on some twine.  Tied the ends to skewers.  And covered the backs with washi tape to look awesome!  It was a huge success! The sign turned...
