 Ribbon and Button Bookmarks!
This is such a fun and simple craft.  It is perfect for young ladies to learn how to sew on a button.
I taught a group of 20 tweens how to put these together!
You will need Ribbon, Buttons, hair elastic and needle/thread.

 I received this gorgeous ribbon from Offray.
They have such bright and vivid colors and patterns!
I cut each ribbon at 15 inches.
This could make a difference based on the size of book you plan on marking.

 Fold the ribbon over one hair elastic and sew it in place.
Use a lighter or candle carefully to singe the other end of the ribbon to prevent fraying.

Then take a button and sew it to the open end of the ribbon.
Now place the ribbon in the pages of the book and wrap and button around the cover of the book.
Great for wrapping around a journal or diary!
Super cute!
These would actually look fabulous in a more masculine ribbon and a manly button
 wrapped around a leather planner or black sketch book for a manly gift idea!
