Oversized Rhinestone Bow Headband!
This fun headband has such a 1920's vibe to it!
Look how much she's grown since this DIY tiara just 3 years ago!

She still loves wearing a little (or an absurd amount) of bling!
It's sparkly and shiny in the sunlight!
I used Rolled Jewel Mesh from Oriental Trading
The large, it's 4 1/2 inches wide.
You get 10 feet of it.
If you are making an adult size headband, the large is the way to go.
If you are making one for a child, get the medium or small...depending
on how "statement" you want it to be.
It's not real rhinestones.
They are plastic and concave, so they sink in, instead of being domed jewels.
Still pretty and catches light!
Cut a piece of jewel ribbon 16 inches long.
You will also need white 1/2 inch ribbon and hot glue/gun.
Run a bead of hot glue right down the backside of the mesh
in the center 8" line.
Then fold the edges in to the center and press in the glue.
Cautiously, there's holes and the glue can seep out.
While it's still warm, gather it up the center.
Hold until it cools completely.
Then wrap a piece of ribbon a few times around the center and hot glue it in place.
Looks cute so far!
I pulled out my box of shiny things and tried to pick something for the center.
Much of what I have distracts or competes with the jewel mesh...
So I settled on a buckle rhinestone slider.
Threaded through the same ribbon.
Then then hot glued in place.
Then hot glue a headband on the backside.
I love these black metal headbands.
Cover with a strip of ribbon and let cool.
Now it is ready to wear!
Great for a themed party or just to wear some bling!
Classy enough for older girls, cute for little ladies too!
