Captain Jack Sparrow Inspired Layered Choker!
I'm doing all things Pirates of the Caribbean this week because of the
Pirate movie coming out in a couple weeks!
I think Jack is wearing a little more eye liner than I remember. Haha.
Pirates of the Caribbean Captain Jack Sparrow inspired Choker!
The layers, the texture, the sparkles and...the Sparrow!
see what I did there?
Okay, it's a stretch. But I love this choker. They are back in style and super chic!
Natural elements are amazing and the way to go to!
I used a gorgeous flying sparrow charm, as a nod to Captian Jack Sparrow.
I got all these wonderful jewelry pieces from Fire Mountain Gems and Beads
They are the best source for all things DIY jewelry.
You will need:
Velvet Black Ribbon
Antique Brass Chain
I cut a piece of velvet ribbon at 13.5 inches.
and two pieces of chain...one is 15 inches and one is 17 inches.
I love the layered chains with this.
It's a personal preference for the length you want them to be.
Use the crimp ends on each end of the velvet ribbon.
Place it on the end of the ribbon.
Then clamp down tight on it with flat pliers.
Fold the ribbon in half and find the center.
I used a tiny hole punch to make a hole right in the center.
You could just use a needle.
Use a jump ring and hook the druzy pendant on the ribbon.
It's gorgeous just like this. So pretty!
Then add the chains to the loops of the jump rings.
I had to make some chain adjustments as I went...clip the middle chain in
half and hook it to the sparrow. Then I added a little more chain to the bottom row,
because I wanted the drop to hang a little lower.
Add the clasps and loop to the crimp ends.
Then it is ready to wear!
I love the layers of chain and the soft velvet!
Such a beautiful necklace!
I love the antique brass and the layers!
