Cricut Rolling Totes and Accessories!First, if you want all the getting started details on the Cricut Explore Air 2, check this post.
What tools and accessories do I need to use a Cricut and how much do they cost?
The good news here is that the $299 Cricut Explore Air™ 2 machine is ready to use straight outta the box. It's like getting a kitchen gadet--like a mixer. It's ready to use but you need ingredients to make things with it. Same idea with the Cricut Machine. You can start just using regular paper, but it will get old fast.
I'd recommend getting the $329 Cricut Explore Air 2 Mint Machine and Everything Starter Kit
It comes with everything you need to get started. If you are worried about the cost, read my post about Making Money with your Cricut. It comes with your cutting mat, transfer tape, replacement blade, personal trimmer, tools, pens, and all the types of mediums to cut!
So you don't need to get all the additional accessories at once...but they are fun to get at some point. Great for a Wish List! Everything made by Cricut is designed to work perfectly for your machine. My newest favorite are these New bags and totes at Cricut
I decided to customize mine with some glitter iron-on vinyl.
Just set the machine to cut a simple heart shape.
Remove the excess vinyl and place plastic side up on the tote.
Press with an iron for a few seconds.
Then peel back the plastic over itself.
Looks great and perfect for setting it apart from anyone else's at a cropping party!
The bundle of 3 bags and totes is $229
(these are not recommended for checking as luggage when flying)
The Shoulder bag is perfect for 12X12 papers and a padded pocket for a laptop.
The middle tote is the case for the Cricut machine itself. It is custom fit and padded to perfection.
It is perfect for storing your machine at home to protect it from little hands, dust and other things.
The base tote rolls on smooth casters. It has divided sections for rolls of vinyl, transfer tape, tools and everything you could need for a fun crafting night away from home!
The base has a telescoping handle for ease of travel. The Cricut Machine tote has a loop on the backside to slip over the handles and stack perfectly on the rolling tote base.
My other favorite "must have" accessory for the Cricut are these 30 colors of markers for $35
They are made to fit and work perfectly with the machine. I love the range of colors. If you are going to do handwritten or drawn projects, it's worth getting the markers. The epic bundle listed above comes with Metallic and Gold pen sets, so you'll still have enough to get started. You can add these to your Christmas list!
I love the tips on these pens. Perfect for details. I tried to cut a Sharpie pen to fit the holder and it just does not work. These markers are the perfect shape for the holder and work fantastically.
So in conclusion, there are so many wonderful accessories and things to use with your Cricut Explore Air 2. I recommend getting the starter kit bundle and seeing what you like the best. If you love iron-on vinyl but don't use your pens, you'll know what you want to get next. Then you can add things to your list and build your supply gradually! Like these great totes and pens!
