LEGO Inspired Ceramic Mug Handmade Gift DIY!
I'm part of a wonderful Handmade Holidays Blog Hop! #handmadeholidays
I love handmade gifts. They add such a wonderful touch to the holidays. They help children focus on giving to others rather than thinking of what they will be receiving. This craft can be done with any age of children and customized to any recipient.
This cute mug is a uniquely simple gift that anyone can make!
This darling Lego inspired mug is a great handmade gift for a fellow Lego lover! I love handmade gifts and this one is easy enough to do in under an hour. This is a super fun craft that would make a great party activity too. Fill it up with treats or pair it with a Lego Classic Creativity Box or 2 and you have a great gift!
There is nothing as darling as this simple Lego man face. I love the big round eyes and simple smile.
And a hand lettered quote on the other side for inspiration.
Get a ceramic mug in bright yellow! I got mine from the Dollar Tree.
You will also need a ceramic paint pen:
These edding brush pens are fantastic! They are fun to write or draw with. Even after heat treating, they still have a possibility to come off, so hand wash or use as a pencil caddy.
On one side, likely the side you would drink from, draw a simple face. I didn't use a pattern, I just freehanded it. Same for the lettering.
On the other side, add a fun quote...like Build a Beautiful Day!
Bake in the oven according to ceramic paint pen package directions to set the ink. Still recommended to handwash and not soak the mug. But it is so fun to make! Great for a pen or brush caddy on a desk.
A mug that's happy to see you--makes a great handmade gift too!
Fill up with yummy treats and it's ready to give. Great for a teacher, neighbor or friend! Perfect for a Lego enthusiast.
