I think it's a wonderful investment because it is so versatile and can basically pay for itself (check out my post on making money with your Cricut). I love making crafts. Its so relaxing and a great way to meet new people and share interests.
My hobby of choice is scrapbooking. I enjoy the process and can lose myself for hours over the smallest detail or get great satisfaction from making clean and simple pages in under an hour. It is such a versatile craft that allows me freedom to create what I want and how I want to with out rules or someone telling me I am not doing it right. How many other hobbies can claim that? :)
