Buffalo Plaid Iron-On Vinyl Bunny Shirt DIY

Buffalo Plaid Iron-On Vinyl Bunny Shirt DIY
Don't you love buffalo plaid?  I thought it would be fun to make a Spring version with pink, blue and a darling bunny!  With iron on vinyl it is easy to make and customize.  This awesome shirt is part of the Craft and Create Cricut Monthly Challenge team.  There's 22 awesome shirt tutorials and a huge Heat Transfer Vinyl giveaway at the end of this post!

I did a buffalo plaid heart for Valentine's day and it is adorable too--check it out for the free image files as well.

But back to Spring and Bunnies--This shirt is adorable and perfect for Easter!

 Supplies:
T-shirt (District Made Shirts are the best, they are the softest cotton on earth and the perfect fit)
Sailboat Blue Iron on Vinyl
Pink Cosmopolitan Iron on Vinyl
Cricut Explore Air™ 2 machine
Iron or Easy Press
Weeding tool

You will also need this darling bunny image!  Just right click to save off the following 2 pngs, personal use only please.

Upload both images into Cricut Design Space™
Change the colors so they are the colors of your iron on vinyl...this will eliminate any confusion when cutting.  Overlay them so you can make sure they are the exact right size.

Click the "make it" button and then the "mirror" buttons.  It will cut them one after the other.

Place the vinyl, plastic side on the mat and then insert into the machine.  Click the "C" button on the machine and watch it work.  It will cut the silhouette image much faster than the overlay.

Cut the bunny out and weed off the excess vinyl.  Place plastic side up on the shirt.

Then iron gently on medium for about a minute.

Let the vinyl cool and then peel off the plastic layer.

Then cut the pink iron on vinyl.

Cut around the bunny shape, then weed off the excess vinyl.

I love it!

Now, vinyl tends to stretch, so line it up carefully on one edge, then stretch the shirt gently to line it up on the other edge.

Then gently iron again as earlier.  Let it cool completely and then remove the plastic.

Done!  The perfect bunny shirt for Spring!  I love the buffalo plaid and the pastel colors!  Perfect with this District Made shirt!
