Fortnite Themed Birthday Party Ideas DIY!
**Updated Post**
Fortnite just celebrated its 3rd birthday yesterday and so I thought this was due for a refresh!Host the perfect birthday party for the Fortnite loving kiddo in your life! My son just turned 10 and wanted a Fortnite party based off the video game. So much fun for a dozen of his friends to come and celebrate! Here's some party, game, food and treat ideas!
Fortnite is new enough that there isn't tons of merch everywhere. It's just trying to put enough together that it is recognizable to the attendees.
Here's what you will need: (affiliate links included)
Llama Pinata
Cinema Light Box
Kraft Bags
Yellow Light Up Balloons
Canon Pixma Printer iP8720
Canon 13x19 Paper
Cricut Maker
Cricut EasyPress/Mat
Iron on Vinyl
Stencil Material
Gold Tassel Garland
Blue Gatorade
Adhesive Printable Labels
Grocery Cart
To set the scene, I printed off images from the game...this amazing Unicorn!
And of course, the Fortnite logo!
I used my Canon Pixma Printer iP8720 to print 13x19 posters. It just takes a few minutes for amazing high quality photos!
These three posters make up the backdrop for the party.
Having some colorful wall art is the perfect backdrop for a party!
Next, the birthday kid will need a new shirt! Bust out your Cricut and upload the Fortnite logo into Cricut Design Space. Place some Iron-on vinyl shiny side down on the mat and mirror the image before cutting.
Weed off the excess vinyl and place on the shirt, on top of the EasyPress mat. Use the Cricut EasyPress and set the iron on vinyl. (recommended settings)
Let the iron on cool and peel off the carrier sheet.
Now it's ready for the birthday kid...or the entire party to wear!
He was thrilled! Don't you love his sun-tanned cheeks!?
Lastly, we gave out goodie bags, super simple and pretty empty. Use the stencil material to cut the word DROP in stencil font.
Then stencil in yellow paint on blue paper to attach to kraft paper bags.
Blow up a balloon and tape it in the bag! The perfect drop bags!
The best part of the party were the games. We began by having the kids follow along with Thanos demonstrating all the Fortnite Emote Dances.
The kids all danced hard for 20 minutes! They were sweaty and tired!
Good thing we had Slurp Juice available!
We had cake and ice cream and treats. Finish it off with the Pinata. It was simple, but impressive! The kids loved it.
The most important thing is that my 10 year old loved it! Who do you know that would love a Fortnite party???
