Valentine's day decor is so much fun with shades of pink and red...hearts and flowers...and add some sparkly gold for a crowning finish!

I love the varied shades of pink...I love the glittery gold.  I love how this Valentine's decor wreath turned out.  I am addicted to paper flowers and this amazing wreath can be finished in an afternoon.

If you don't have 12X24 paper and mats, just use Cricut Access and search for 3D flowers.

Step 1: Cutting Flowers


Begin by placing colored cardstock on the cutting mat.  It does not really matter which file you do in which color.  Just pick the colors that speak to you.

I love the 12x24 cutting mat size...and the matching size cardstock is magnificent!  Some of the images need scoring, so have the scoring wheel ready to swap out with the cutting blade.  


This machine is so smart, it will always let you know what tool it needs.

Step 2: Remove Paper Flowers


I quickly peel off the excess paper right off the mat.

Then carefully use the spatula tool and remove the flowers.

Step 3: Fabric


Cut a fat quarter (or so) of fabric into 1.5 inch strips.

Use the hot glue gun to wrap and glue the fabric around the wreath form.

Step 4: Build Flowers


After the wreath is covered, it's time to build the flowers.  Fold the accordion flower on the scored lines.  


Hot glue the 2 strips of red paper together and to each other to form a circle.  Hot glue it on to a scrap of paper.

Then attach and hot glue the pink strip together and onto the stack.

Now simply hot glue the flowers onto the wreath.

Roll up the swirl pieces and hot glue them as centers in the flowers.

Continue to fill the wreath with all those beautiful pinks.

I love the polka dotted fabric, so I left some of it showing, but feel free to fill up the wreath as much as you like!

Step 6: Metallic Glitter


Finish it off with some gorgeous glittery gold cardstock leaves.


Use one sheet of gold paper and a smaller mat.  


Use the scoring wheel and blade to cut a dozen leaves.

Fold them along the score lines for dimension.

Hot glue the leaves under and around the flowers.


Leave some of the fabric showing completely for the visual balance and texture.
