Lunar Landing Space Exploration Shirts with Cricut!
Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing on July 20th with fun Space exploration shirts. Making shirts is one of my most favorite craft projects. Shirts make the world go round, everyone wears shirts! So make a bunch of shirts to celebrate everyday of the week. This simple DIY takes just a few minutes and only a couple of supplies.
Cricut Design Space™ has lots of wonderful images ready to cut. Just search for astronauts, galaxy, space or whatever you are looking for. It's super nice to have the image already designed and optimized for cutting.
Supplies Needed:
Place the iron on vinyl on the mat with the shiny plastic side down. Then set the machine to iron on vinyl and mirror the image. Then cut the image. Remove the mat and use the hook tool to weed the excess iron on vinyl.
The images are weeded and ready to iron on the shirts as pictured below.
Warm up the shirt with the EasyPress 2, set the press to the recommended settings.
Place the iron on on the warm shirt with the plastic side up.
Then press with the EasyPress 2 for the recommended time.
Remove the press and let the shirt cool down. Then remove the plastic carrier sheet.
Which one do you like better? This darling little astronaut with the flag on the surface of the moon?
Or this floating in space astronaut in a round logo?
