Silk Flower Hair Clip DIY Perfect for Summer!
I only had one of these flower clips...and my darling daughter got to wear it in this family photo shoot. Doesn't she looks so cute with her little missing teeth!?
I have such happy memories of my kids at this age.
However, some how in the middle of the photo shoot, this is how my daughter ended up! Flower clip gone--gone forever! Ugh, we searched the park and checked the bathroom, but to no avail.
Such a shame. I said goodbye to my flower wearing days that day.
Um, until now! I found a gorgeous bunch of the same flowers at the dollar store this year.
Supplies Needed for Flower Hair Clip:
- Silk Flowers
- Brad for paper fastening
- Hot Glue/gun
- Alligator hair clip
- 15 minutes
Step 1: Pull Flower Apart
Begin by removing the plastic backing of the silk flower.
Step 2: Fastener
Then layer on the different layers of the flower, right onto the brad.
Then open the prongs of the brad to keep the layers in place and tight.
Step 3: Hot Glue Clip
Then put hot glue on the top of the alligator clip and press it on the backside of the flower, covering the brad.
Then let the hot glue cool completely.
That's it!
Enjoy a bright bloom in your hair for Summer outdoor fun! Great for handmade gifts, party favors, family pictures, Summer camp crafts, Girls youth activities or just for fun!
Make them any color or style you like!
