Periodic Table Funny Science T-Shirts with Cricut Maker!
Making funny shirts is one of my favorite hobbies and it's perfect for back to school time.
These two shirts are perfect for a science nerd, and are easy to make.
Periodically I'm DyNAmITe...and Expect SArCaSm periodically.
Use the Periodic Table of Elements to spell out words!
Whip out these 2 shirts in a matter of minutes with Cricut Maker and Cricut Design Space.
Supplies Needed for Periodic Table Science Shirts:
- Cricut Maker 3
- Cricut EasyPress 2 12x10 or
- Cricut EasyPress 2 9x9 Raspberry
- Cricut EasyPress Mat
- Cricut Weeding Tools
- T-Shirts
- Cricut Design Space Projects
Step 1: Cut Vinyl
Start by placing the iron on vinyl with the shiny surface face down on the mat.
Then cut the images in reverse or "mirror".
Next remove the vinyl from the mat.
Next use the Cricut hook tool to weed out the excess iron on vinyl.
Go slowly and work carefully around the little tiny letters in the top corners.
Remove the little pieces in the letters and numbers, leaving the perfect periodic table play on words.
Step 3: Cricut EasyPress
Then begin by heating up the EasyPress 2 for the recommended settings.
Then warm up the shirt on the Cricut EasyPress mat.
Then place the iron on vinyl on the shirt, centered and about 3 inches from the collar.
Press for the recommended time.
Remove the EasyPress and turn the shirt over and press for another 15 seconds or so.
Then let the shirt cool down completely.
After the shirt is cool, peel off the carrier sheet by rolling it back over itself.
It's important to let the shirt and vinyl cool down completely before peeling.
It needs the extra time to adhere properly.
Repeat for the second shirt.
This is so simple, it just takes a few minutes!
These funny shirts are a great handmade gift, and would be awesome in a gift basket for a school teacher that loves science!
Perfect shirt for a total nerd!
Lol, I think I gave these shirts to my brothers.
They are the perfect shirts for them!
Which one is your favorite?
Are you more prone to sarcasm or dynamite?
What other words can you spell out with the periodic table of elements?
You can get as creative as you want and even make up letters yourself so they can say whatever you want!
