Personalize Backpack for Back-to-School with Cricut Iron-on!

Backpacks are the staple of school, filled with supplies and books. It's easy to get a backpack for the kids that other kids in school have too...so personalized touches are perfect. It's not especially safe to put the childs name on the bag, so customizing it can be much more fun. Think of a fun phrase, animal or let the child draw a picture and iron it onto their backpack. They will take more ownership and hopefully not misplace it!

 Supplies Needed:

Gold Iron On
Cricut Maker
Cricut EasyPress 2
Cricut EasyPress Mat

Backpack (here's the one I got, aff link)

The backpack gave me the "Simpsons" vibe, so I went with this simpson font...and cut out this phrase.

Begin by cutting the iron on out with the Cricut cutting machine. Remember to place the vinyl on the mat so the plastic side is down on the mat. Then mirror the image before cutting.
Then cut around the vinyl and weed the excess away with the hook tool.
Cut the strips apart, if desired.
Place the EasyPress mat inside the bag. Then warm up the backpack with the EasyPress 2. Next put the iron on on the backpack.
Then press with the EasyPress 2 for the recommended amount of time.
Let the vinyl cool down and remove the plastic carrier sheets.

That's it!

It's ready to fill up with all the school supplies and cinch it down on your little ones back! I love backpacks!
