Summer Rules Cricut Vinyl Wood Sign DIY
Not much of Summer left, but I am going to enjoy every second I have of sunny Summer weather. At least until next month when I go Halloween crazy! These are my kind of Summer rules and this wood sign is perfect to hang by the pool or put on the entry for a fun Summer decor. Of course, I'll live with these rules year round!
Supplies Needed:
Wood BoardLight Blue Paint
Teal Vinyl
Transfer Tape
Cricut Maker or Machine
This CDS Project
Cricut Tools
Begin by painting the wood board light blue. I am using Waverly in Sky. It's like the color of the sky in a bottle.
Place the vinyl on the mat. My board was slightly larger than the 11.5 inch mat size, so I used a tall mat.
Then have the Cricut machine cut the vinyl with all the Summer fun rules.
After it's all cut, remove the vinyl from the mat. Use the hook tool to remove all the excess vinyl.
Read through the vinyl and make sure all the insides of each letter are removed.
Place the vinyl on the table and then place transfer tape right on top of the vinyl.
Next use the scraper tool and press the transfer tape onto the vinyl carefully.
Now turn over the vinyl and remove the paper backing from the vinyl.
Then carefully place the vinyl on the painted wood board.
Smooth out the vinyl with the squeegee.
Then peel back the transfer tape by rolling it over the top of itself.
That's it!
This fabulous Summer sign is ready to hang up and enjoy the last few weeks of the Summer sunshine!Like, Pin and Share!
