Thor and Loki Simple T-Shirt Cosplay DIY
My daughter and I won tickets to FanX, our local fandom convention last April. It was just a couple days before the conference, so there was not time to make a full cosplay for the event. But we are much too geeky to not dress up at all. So we made some simple t-shirt costumes to wear to the event...and we got lots of attention for it too!We decided to dress as Thor and Loki. With a silly pun on our shirt and a gold headband with a cardigan.
Supplies Needed: (affiliate links)
Headbands:
Metal Headband
Tan Craft Foam
Gold Paint
Hot Glue/Gun
Green Jewel
This Thor is a great costume:
My Costume is pretty Loki:

Place the iron on vinyl color side down on the mat and cut the image with the mirrored setting. Then weed the excess iron on from the image.
Then warm up the shirt with the EasyPress then place the iron-on on the shirt.
Press the EasyPress on the shirt for the recommended time. Then peel off the carrier sheet when the shirt has cooled down.
Then make the headbands for the finishing touch!
Cut 2 sizes of wing shapes for the Thor headband.
2 sets that layer on top of the other.
Then stitch and hot glue the wings to the side of the headband and then paint them gold. There's a full post on this Valkyrie headband here.
Then on to the Loki headband. I made a horn like pattern and then cut it out of craft foam.
Cut it out in one piece.
I picked a green jewel for the Loki vibe. Clipped off the back button portion and hot glued it flat on the foam.
I cut a small slit on each side of the craft foam and slipped the headband through the slit. With a little hot glue to hold it in place.
That's it!
The perfect best friend couple costume set! A pretty Low-Key costume...And the perfect God of Thunder, casual costume!
