Charcuterie Board with Apple Sandwiches Harvest Meal
The holidays just scream BUSY and tons of FOOD! If you are like me, you are shocked at how much humans want to eat. I mean, Thanksgiving dinner is a big deal...but everyone is going to want food for breakfast the next day. Sheesh! I've found the best solution is to have some snacking foods on hand for light meals. A Charcuterie (pronounced "shahr-ku-tuh-ree") board is basically the adult version of lunchables. The perfect grazing table! Everyone can make or eat what they want. It's yummy, delicious and healthy--and light! Perfect lunch on Thanksgiving day or for Sunday brunch.
Ingredients:
SalamiPepperoni
Sliced Ham
Sliced Turkey
Slices of Cheese
Sliced apples
Sliced pickles
Grapes
Chocolate
Caramels
Tomatoes
Sliced Bell Peppers
Just slice up all your favorite fixings and pile them on a wood serving tray.
We recently discovered apple sandwiches and can't get enough of them--thanks Paul! Great for anyone that is gluten free too! Just thinly slice an apple right through the core...it makes the most amazing star shape. It's healthy to eat the apple core anyway, so just live a little and eat it. Use the apple slices like bread slices...layer an apple slice, cheese, ham/turkey/salami, and then top with another apple slice. Yum!
That's it!
