Car Play Mat Painted with Plaid Fabric Creations!

This fun car play mat is the perfect handmade gift and easy to do with Plaid Fabric Creations paint. Do you have someone that loves cars and has a vivid imagination? This car play mat is the perfect gift. With just a couple of supplies and some drying time, you'll have the best gift in no time. Just add a few cars to get the recipient started and they'll do the rest with this painted car play mat.

Supplies Needed:

Plaid Fabric Creations Paint (in various colors)
Stencil Paintbrush
Detail Paintbrush
24X30" White Duck Cloth (check for remnants at the craft store)
Painters Tape
Race Cars

Sit back and watch the video, then you'll have all the confidence needed to make your own car play mat.

Tape the duck cloth to the table. Then use the painters tape to block off roads and quadrants for homes, stores, etc. Then pour out the Fabric Creations paint and fill in the places with the stencil brush.

Let it dry completely before driving over it.

Make sure to fill up the cars with gas before heading to the school pick-up line.

It's fun to watch the kids keep the cars carefully on the roads...and the occasional child that just drives all over everything.

Another fun thing I noticed, is kids love it when the cars crash together...that's why the road is only a single car width, haha. This way the kids can wreck the cars as they drive home or off to the pond.

It's way funner to get in a car crash on the play mat than real life. Stay safe, especially on those icy roads.
