Hershey's Kisses Mice for Chinese New Year Craft: Year of the Rat!
Chinese New Year is another fun day to celebrate during the long month of January! This year Chinese New Year falls on January 25th. I love to serve Chinese food and decorate the dinner table. These darling little Hershey's Kisses "rats" are the perfect way to celebrate the Year of the Rat.They are easy to make and the perfect craft to enlist the kids' help. They just take a few supplies and even less time. Let's get started!
Supplies for Hershey's Kisses Rats:
Hershey's Kisses (mine are Lava Cake flavor!)Pink Paper
Scissors
Googly Eyes
Glue Dots Mini
Glue Dots Big
Begin by cutting tear drop shaped ears from some pink paper. Or color some white paper to match the kisses. Then use the mini glue dots to adhere them to the flat side of a Hershey's kiss.
Then glue the other ear on the kiss. Space them out so they look like little ears poking out.
Next, add a big glue dot to the center of the kiss, right where the ears were glued in place.
Stick another Hershey's Kiss to the glue dot and press firmly. So cute! Remove the Hershey's tag from the nose of the mouse and keep the one for the tail. This little rat looks perfect as is...it's so cute!
Take it one step further, if you want by adding cute little googly eyes.
Adhere the googly eyes with mini glue dots. Put them close to the nose and centered under the ears. Enlist the kids to help, they will turn out adorable! Set a cute little rat at everyone's place setting for the perfect Chinese New Year feast!
That's it--simple, right!?
