Beskar Notebooks + Tracking Fobs Mandalorian Party Favors DIY
Make Mandalorian inspired party favors, gifts or things just for you in this fun tutorial. Make some Beskar steel notebooks and tracking fob goody boxes filled with candy. Come back tomorrow to see what I do with these fun props!
Have you watched the Disney + Mandalorian Series? It's awesome, it's sort of a western, Space Cowboy, going from place to place helping the people there. Disney must have not expected it to do very well, because there is no Baby Yoda or Mandalorian merch to be found! Let's make our own instead!
Supplies for Beskar Notebooks:
Cricut Cutting Machine
Gray Cardstock
Black Vinyl or Black Marker
Transfer Tape
White Copy Paper
Paper Cutter
Scoring Board
Sewing Machine
Beskar Pattern (designed by Doodlecraft) at the end of the post
Beskar is the steel used to make the armor of the Mandalorians. It's very similar in appearance to Damascus steel with the grains running through it.
Begin by using the Beskar pattern at the end of this post and have the Cricut machine cut it out of vinyl in a 5x8 size. If you don't want to use vinyl, you can draw it on with a black marker.
Then weed the vinyl and cover it with transfer tape. Then place the vinyl on the gray cardstock.
Turn the cardstock over on the scoring board and score down at 5 inches, with the vinyl on the left side of the board.
Then fold the cardstock in half and trim the excess cardstock on the back side.
Then fold a stack of 10 sheets of copy paper in half.
Cut the edges down to fit inside the cardstock, then sew a stitch down the center to hold all the papers in place.
That's it!
Make a bunch of beskar steel notebooks, the perfect gift for a Star Wars geeks, or a Mandalorian themed birthday party.
Now let's make the tracking fobs!
These tracking fobs are each connected to the chain codes of various creatures with bounties on their heads. This is a fun way to send party goers home with a treat too!
Supplies Needed for the Tracking Fobs:
Gray Cardstock
Black Pipecleaner
Black marker
Paper CutterScoring Board
Red Cardstock
Stapler
Hole Punch
Tombow Xtreme Adhesive
Candy for Filler
Place the cardstock in the score board and score the paper like so:
3/4", 2 3/4", 3 1/2", 5 1/2", and 6"
Use the paper cutter and cut the paper so it is 4 inches tall and 6 inches wide. Then score the sides of the box at 3/4" on both ends.
Then cut the box to look like the image below, including hole punch and cut outs.
Then use the Tombow Xtreme Adhesive on the side tab.
Fold it over and press the box together. Then seal up the bottom of the box.
Fill the box with candy, then slip the pipecleaner in the holes. Fold down the side tabs, then the pipecleaner tab, then tape and fold over the smaller cut tab.
Now draw the H shaped image on the front of the box, with a marker.
Punch a hole with the hole punch out of red paper and adhere it on the top.
Wrap the top of the pipe cleaner with gray paper and staple it in place.
That's it! They are sturdy enough to stand up straight and decorate perfectly for a Mando themed party.
Awesome, right!? What episode of the Mandalorian is your favorite? I love the episode on Sorgan, with the krill farmers and the first glance of Cara Dune. Don't you just love her!?
That's it!
