Cricut Joy: Rolled Paper Flowers on Easter Eggs
Have you used the Cricut Joy yet? It's small, simple to use, yet has the capacity of a great cutting machine. Check out this post on getting started with the Cricut Joy.
This week I've been filling my days with crafting. Instead of running to the store, I'm using supplies I have at home. This Easter egg craft with rolled paper flowers is simple to make, and you probably have all the things needed to make them too!
Cricut sent me the Cricut Joy as part of their blogging team. All opinions and ideas are my own. Affiliate links included in post.
Plus, you might have seen this project on my insta stories last week.
The Cricut Joy is adorable! I love the small and convenient size, easy to store and easy on the budget. This fun project uses supplies I had laying around at home and only takes a few minutes!
Supplies Needed for Rolled Paper Flowers on Easter Eggs:
- Cricut Joy
- Colored Paper (Use old workbook pages, junk mail or even magazine pages...or you can color plain white paper with markers)
- Hot Glue/Gun
- Easter Eggs (these are craft eggs, but plastic eggs or boiled eggs would work too)
Search Cricut Design Space for "rolled flowers" and "leaf" to find the images I used.
Connect your Cricut Joy to your device through the app and bluetooth. Size the images down for the Cricut Joy mat and click the device to cut.
Then roll up the flowers starting at the outside edge and hot glue along the way to the center.
Continue rolling up the spiral.
Then add hot glue to the center circle and press the rolled flower down on the center.
Repeat the process for the other flowers.
Then cut out some leaves in green.
Use the hot glue gun to adhere the flowers to the tops of the craft eggs. Add random leaves here and there.
Write names on them and use them as Easter place settings...or draw eye lashes on them for a dreamy look...or just decorate the mantel for Easter and Spring!
These are super chic eggs made with stuff from around the house and in just a few minutes!
The Cricut Joy is awesome!
That's it!
