Four Leaf Clover Wood Coaster with Resin!
Have you ever found a real four leaf clover? Not me, but my kids all have! This cute clover was found in the grass in our backyard. It was in a patch of 3 leaf clovers, so it really was lucky to find it!Preserve a four leaf clover in a wooden coaster with glossy resin for a long lasting reminder of your good fortune!
Clover petals each represent a virtue: Faith, Hope, Love and the 4th one is, you guessed it! Luck! Studies show there is about 5,000 three leaf clovers for every ONE four leaf clover. So they are pretty lucky!
Supplies Needed to Preserve a Clover:
Four Leaf Clover (you can buy some here)
Mixing Cups, Stirring Sticks, Disposable Gloves
Embossing Heat Tool
Step 1: Mixing the Resin
Begin by mixing one part resin with one part hardener. Begin by mixing the smallest amount possible. Mix in the 2 phase process. Mix for 2 full minutes, then transfer to a second cup and use a second stick to stir the resin for another full minute.
Step 2: Pouring the Resin
Place the coaster on a level table.
Pour a small amount of resin in the coaster and tilt the coaster around to spread the resin.
Step 3: Pop Resin Bubbles
Use the heat embossing tool to pop any bubbles that have formed after 20 minutes of letting it rest.
Step 4: Add the Four Leaf Clover
Let the resin set for about an hour and then place the clover on the tacky resin. Let the resin dry and cure overnight.
Next day, repeat the resin mixing process and make some more resin to top off the clover. I love these wood coasters because the resin can just fill to the top of the edge.
Then allow the resin to dry and cure again, overnight. Then you have a perfectly preserved clover to remind you of all your good fortune and luck.
That's it!
