Cricut Maker 5 Minute Shirt DIY
"Take heed, cause I'm a lyrical poet." This rad shirt can be made in just 5 minutes using the Cricut Maker. I love my Cricut Maker and use it nearly daily. I love making iron-on shirts because it's so quick!
Do you have a Cricut Maker?
I recommend getting a bundle, then you have lots of supplies to get started crafting and deciding what you like the best.
Having a Cricut Maker can also be a great way to start a business from home. Check out this post on 5 ways to Make Money with the Cricut and this one on 100 Things to Make with the Cricut to Sell.
I work with Cricut on their blogger team and receive product, but all opinions are mine.
Supplies Needed for Lyrical Poet Shirt:
T-shirtCricut Maker
Gold Iron-On Vinyl
Cricut EasyPress 2
Cricut EasyPress Mat
Step 1:
Design the text in Cricut Design Space. Then place the iron-on vinyl on the cutting mat with the shiny surface face down.
Step 2:
Mirror the image and cut the text. Then remove the iron-on from the mat and weed the excess iron-on from the text.
Step 3:
Warm up the shirt with the EasyPress 2. (Here's the EasyPress recommended settings) Then place the iron-on vinyl on the shirt, then press the EasyPress and click the countdown button.
Step 4:
Let the shirt cool down for a minute or so. Then peel the plastic carrier sheet off the top by rolling it back on top of itself.
And that's it! The most amazing shirt that has a bit of Vanilla Ice flair. Shirts can be made in just a matter of minutes and they make the most wonderful gifts, family crafts or just to spruce up a plain tee.
The Maker opens up to reveal it's inner workings. It has a storage tray inside--fill with treats for snacking, or the supplies needed to keep the machine working. I fit the sewing kit inside the Maker, and stuff my tools in the pocket at the top.
The Cricut Maker has a wide range of uses--and chances are good that you'll want to try it all. Start by getting the Maker and just cut paper for a terrific start. Then as you make some things and sell them, you can add to your Cricut collection.
The Cricut Maker is designed for:
Sewing, cuts fabric with the Rotary Blade
Debossing, engraves plastic and metal with the Engraving Tip
Scoring, for Card Making and Paper crafts
Cutting thick Materials with the Knife Blade
Wavy cuts and Perforation cuts too--The options are limitless!
That's it!
Make shirts for every occasion!
