Quick Stamped Handmade Cards DIY
I have always love crafting, but handmade cards hold a place in my heart. I don't make them as much as I used to...and they are always much more simplified than my cards of the past. But I love making simple, quick cards.
Plus, learn how to make your own envelopes--perfect for cards this size! Make them match like stunning stationery!
These handmade cards are easy to send through the mail, as they do not require any additional postage and do not need to be "hand canceled". Perfect for sending to a friend as a pick-me-up during this unusual year.
Supplies Needed:
Rubber Stamps and Ink
or
Black Folded Cards
White Paper Liners
Start by designing your paper. Fill the paper with Rubber Stamped images...or save time by using a patterned scrapbook paper.
Then cut the paper into quarters with a paper cutter. I love my cutter and use it all the time.
The cut lines should be at the 5.5" mark on the long side and the 4.25" mark on the short side.
Then trim 1/8" off each edge...or 1/4" off of one short side and one long side. Essentially taking off 1/8" on each side.
Now the papers are ready to mount onto cards.
I use black card bases because I love the black framed border. You can pick any color card base you like. Cut a standard piece of cardstock in half at the 5.5" mark on the long side. Then fold the paper in half to make a standard A2 card.
Use the MONO Adhesive roller to adhere the pattern paper to the card. If you are using a black card, tape a piece of white paper inside to write on easier.
That's it! These cards are ready to write on and send through the mail!
