Make a wood slice ornament using Hands On Fun Markers from Oriental Trading. These markers are awesome for writing on wood, they don't bleed at all!
Here's a fun video of the process. I look like I killed a bunny though--I had just made a fur cuff for a stocking and ended up with fluff all over!
Supplies Needed for Wood Slice Ornaments:
Drill/Bit
These markers are perfect for coloring, drawing and writing on wood. That makes this a great craft for a girls night out or crafternoon with the ladies...or a fun activity for the kids to do while they are out of school and need a boredom buster.
And in these strange times, they make a stress free activity to do after dinner on Thanksgiving or during the weekend while decorating for the holidays.
Then use a drill and bit to pilot a hole through the wood slices.
Then tie some buffalo check or plaid ribbon through the hole and tie a big bow. I love wired edge ribbon for holding its shape and making the best bows.
See how the markers don't bleed on the fibers of the wood slice!? I love these markers!
Merry Christmas! Mistletoe! Joy! What will your wood slice ornaments say?
