How to Make Snowflake Holiday Cards with Tombow Dual Brush Pens
There's something so magical about making handmade cards for the holidays. Tombow has the perfect VIP Club Box today that has everything you need for the perfect Snowflake Holiday cards. These cute cards are perfect for sending in the mail or adding to a gift as a fancy tag or gift card holder.
Supplies Needed for these Snowflake Holiday Cards:
Tombow Merry and Bright Dual Brush Pens 6-Pack (available in the VIP Box)
Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pens (available in the VIP Box)
Tombow Adhesive Roller
Gold Paper
White Cardstock
Tombow Mounting Foam
Here's a video of the 30 minute process, condensed into 2 minutes!
Step 1: Snowflakes
Begin by filling a piece of white cardstock with retro style snowflakes in Merry and Bright Dual Brush Pens. No need to be too precise or careful.
I love these retro style snowflake with the thick and thin lines. Big circles, lines and unevenness. It's the perfect snowflake background.
Step 2: Cut Paper
Now that the page is full of snowflakes, cut it into quarters and remove an additional 1/4 inch off each the edges.
Cut the gold cardstock 1/8" larger than the snowflake paper and mount them together. Then cut 2 pieces of cardstock in half and then fold them in half to make the perfect cards. Adhere the gold/snowflake layered card on top of the folded card, leaving a small border again.
The cards are super cute and could be finished as is...or we can take it one step further with a sentiment.
Step 3: Hand Lettered Sentiments
Use the Fudenosuke Brush Pens and write out some holiday sentiments. I love lettering Merry Christmas, the words just work together so well. What other holiday greetings do you like?
Then cut apart the sentiments and layer and adhere them on gold cardstock with a 1/8" border.
Step 4: Mounting Foam
Finally apply mounting foam to the backside of the hand lettered sentiments and stick them onto the retro snowflake cards. They look fabulous and finished!
The layers are perfect for still sending in the USPS mail, so no need to hand cancel or add additional stamps.
The Merry and Bright Dual Brush Pens 6-Pack is a very non-traditional color palette for the holidays, but it works. I love the pink with the blues and the yellow! What do you think about this color palette?
The VIP Box comes with a wonderful assortment of supplies. It would make a great gift for someone that wants to be creative...or it is perfect for holiday gift making--handmade cards, tags and art pieces. Plus the versatile tote bag for transporting supplies from place to place.
The TwinTone Markers are my favorite to use for note taking, journaling or letter writing. I love the Dual Brush Pens for watercoloring, backgrounds, doodles and more. The Fudenosuke Pens are my favorite Tombow supply by far.
They are the best for hand lettering and Calligraphy, perfect size...I just want them in 100's of colors!
