Layered Iron-on Vinyl 'O What Fun' Pillow
O what fun! This layered iron-on pillow is perfect for the Christmas holiday, but basically any time of year because of the non-traditional colors.
I love using my Cricut Maker Machine to whip up projects in minutes. It's the best way to make handmade gifts, decor or other fun things for the holidays...and it literally only takes minutes!
I love the lyrics to jingle bells and the fun it inspires when we sing it at the top of our lungs in the car, A Christmas Story, style. It's one of my favorite songs.
This fun Jingle Bells inspired pillow is part of Fairfield World's annual Pillow Party! This year, a bunch of bloggers got together to spotlight the lumbar pillow!
It's a fun size and perfect for that little addition of holiday decor.
***Plus, we are hosting an awesome giveaway, see the end of the post!
The prize is a $100 gift card to JoAnn Stores and a 10 pound box of Poly-Fil!
Fairfield World sent me this pillow form for this post. The rest of the stuff I bought myself, and of course, used my Cricut. Let's get started, affiliate links included.
Supplies Needed for Layered Iron-on Pillow:
Various colors of Everyday Iron-on (this is the stuff that layers)
Begin with a fun design. I designed the 'O What Fun' on my ipad pro during church. I separated the layers, so I could do white iron-on details over the top of some of the letters. I love that this is my own design.
Step 1: Cut Iron-On
Import design into Cricut Design Space and separate it by colors. Then have the Cricut cut out each layer of iron-on. It's a bit of a process, but worth it for the fun variety of colors.
Weed the iron-on, which is a breeze because it's iron-on and stage them on your pillowcase.
Step 2: Iron-On
Heat up that EasyPress and arrange the letters on the pillowcase. Then remove the top layer (white) iron-on and iron on each letter one by one. Use a cover sheet to protect the velvety pillowcase from the direct heat.
Step 3: Layer Iron-On
After the first layer of iron-on has been applied and cooled, remove the cover sheets and place the white accent iron-on over the letters.
Then replace the cover sheet so the full letter is protected. Place a protective teflon layer over that and press with the EasyPress.
Allow the iron-on to cool down completely and then peel off the carrier sheets. There's some signs of pressing on my pillowcase, which I think will come out in the wash...or flipping inside out and ironing.
That's it!
Layered iron-on is easy and O, so much fun!
