100 Grand YouTube Play Button Party!
YouTube themed party with Kazoo Does Art as she celebrates her 100K subscribers play button or YouTube Creator Award!
This party just had to showcase the 100 Grand--the red and white packaging match YouTube perfectly and the fact that Kazoo got the 100K subscriber button.
It is just too perfect!
Kazoo Does Art
Okay, Kazoo Does Art is my 17 year old daughter. She is a YouTube animator and is most well known for her animatics based on the Dream SMP. She has the cutest art style that just resonates with her viewers.
If you haven't checked her out, do it. Your kids (or anyone under the age of 25) will love her and totally get it.
She's been working super hard for a few years, but rededicated herself at the end of 2020. In January 2021, she had a video go viral and she went quickly from about 600 followers to 11,000 in just a couple weeks.
Since then, her channel has just kept growing. She has a discord server, she's been featured/reacted to/and cheered on by various members of the Dream SMP.
She takes after me. 😘
In December 2021, she reached 100K subscribers and applied for her Creator Award, which is an amazing part of the YouTube community! It's a big deal!
The silver play button is a shiny plaque with a mirror play button with a opaque triangle. It's super shiny and hard to photograph. It's got her channel engraved on it, as well as her milestone.

We celebrated with everything red, white, and 100 Grand!
Okay, let's get started with this fun DIY party. This was a fun party that we celebrated just as a family...but could easily be altered into a social media/YouTube star inspiring birthday party.
The decorations are simple enough to make for any theme too!
Supplies Needed for Paper Bunting:
- Cardstock Paper
- Paper Cutter
- Bakers Twine
- Hot Glue/Gun
- Begin by cutting a piece of paper into a square--8.5 inches is what I'll be basing the measurements off of.
- Then mark the paper at 2.5 inches from the right top corner as well as from the bottom left corner.
- Then cut a straight line from the 2.5 inch mark to the corner below it.
- Repeat the cut in the opposite way on the other side.
- Then cut from mark to mark.
- This will create 2 isosceles triangles of identical size!
Cut some rectangles with a little triangle cut off the end for an alternate bunting shape.
Mine is 6 feet long...but does not have paper buntings across the entire thing.
Tie a loop on either end of the bakers twine for easy hanging. I use Command Hooks for my party wall hanging, then remove them afterwards with no mess or damage.
Then hot glue the triangles and rectangles on a length of bakers twine to fit your party wall. Then use some clothespins to attach some 100 Grands right to the bunting.
Make a little mini bunting for the cake too!
Supplies Needed for 100 Grand Cake Topper:
- Cardstock Paper
- Paper Cutter
- Paper Scoreboard
- Paper Straw
- 100 Grand Wrapper
- Hot Glue/Gun
Next, fold the paper on the score lines in an accordion fashion. Hot glue the ends together to create a medallion circle. Hot glue a paper disc to the back and the front of the accordion circle.
Then hot glue a paper straw to the backside of the medallion. Unwrap a 100 Grand carefully and hot glue just the wrapper onto the front of the paper cake topper for the perfect finishing touch.
Then stick it in the celebration cake for the most showstopping cake topper!
Add the unwrapped 100 Grand on the top of the cake!
I love decorating a cake or 2 during the year. This fun cake was made and decorated as a joint effort with my daughter, which made it much more fun.
I'm not a cake decorator, nor do I want to be, so it's got a rough look...but it tasted great and was just the perfect way to celebrate the day.
So head over to Kazoo Does Art and check out her channel, give her some attention for her 100K subscribers and maybe add another one!
I love that she is so accomplished at such a young age! If your kids are excited about YouTube, have them start a channel and learn to use it--and make it work for them. There's always room for another great content creator.
This cake has 5 Red Velvet layers alternated with Sugar Cookie Dough, then covered with buttercream frosting. Topped with a few cherries and a little ombre effect with the frosting.
We ate a tiny bit and then cut up the rest to freeze for later. It's a fun way to stretch out the celebration down the road.
I love all the red and white--the YouTube vibe with the 100 Grands is just perfection.
Do you throw parties for special occasions other than birthdays?
