Stuffed Blue Cheese Burger with Caramelized Onion Recipe!
Summer time is the best time for grilling food!
Honestly we grill year round because it's the best way to eat food...but we love to host outdoor BBQ's when the weather starts to cool off.
One of my favorite smell is cooking burgers or meat on a grill. This Burger is stuffed with blue cheese and grilled to perfection.
Then topped with caramelized onions--the perfect sweetness to go with the blue cheese. It's divine...if you like blue cheese, you will love this!
Add some delicious grilled corn and seasoned fries for the perfect dinner.
No extra sauce needed, the burger is filled with melted blue cheese, so each bite is perfection.
Ingredients:
- 5 pounds Ground Beef
- 3 Tablespoons Salt
- 2 Tablespoons Garlic Powder
- 2 Tablespoons Garlic Pepper
- 6 Eggs
- 1-2 oz. of Blue Cheese per Burger
Step 1: Mix Ground Beef
Begin by mixing up the ground beef with the salt, garlic powder and garlic pepper.
Then mix in the 6 eggs and stir thoroughly.
**Disclaimer: I only made one Blue Cheese Burger...because my family does not like blue cheese...but I love it! I used half this container of blue cheese, so 2 ounces.
Step 2: Form Patty
Take one cup of ground beef and smoosh it flat on a small plate. Pile the blue cheese on top of the burger in the center.
Step 3: Stuff Patty!
Place about 1/4 cup of ground beef right on top of the blue cheese, then fold up the edges of the under burger and combine it to the top.
Gently press the top so there are no seams...this will keep the blue cheese totally encased during cooking.
Step 4: Grill Burger
Place the burger on the grill and cook.
Turn the burger over and cook the other side.
Use a meat thermometer to make sure the internal temperature reaches 145* F.
Then it is ready to serve.
Step 5: Caramelize Onions
Slice some onions (I had my 10 year old help with this part) and sauté them in a frying pan with a little oil.
Let them get slightly crisp, then add 1 cup of water and let the water cook off them. Simmer for 5 minutes.
I didn't use any extra sauce on the burger, it's full of flavor and juicy. Top the burger with those yummy caramelized onions.
Serve with grilled corn and air fried fries.
Once the burger is cut, all deliciousness breaks loose!
I planned on just eating half of this burger for lunch...but I ate the entire thing! So yummy!
I love blue cheese burgers...hands down it's what I order at every restaurant that has them.
But...
Never enough blue cheese! I loved my handmade burger because it was loaded with the good stuff!
