10 Projects to Make with Cricut Using Iron-On Scraps
Pull out those scraps of vinyl and work on some smaller iron-on vinyl projects with your Cricut!
Using HTV or Iron-on is awesome! Iron-on works on so many surfaces, from fabric, cork, leather, wood and more!
If you are like me, you hoard all those little scraps of vinyl from corners and sides of other projects, so having some smaller projects is a necessity!
I highly recommend having an EasyPress or Heat Press for the perfect iron-on adhesion!
Check out the Cricut Heat Presses Collection!
And the HTVRONT Auto Heat Press that I love!
Here's 10 crafts and projects you can make using scraps of iron-on vinyl.
Mini Leather Journal
Just a small piece of iron-on is all that is needed to make these journals unique. Perfect little gift for holidays, teachers or birthdays!
Bow or Neck Tie Baby Onesies
I used patterned iron on for these cute little ties, but any scraps of iron-on vinyl you have will be the perfect addition to a little baby shirt.
Unicorn Iron-on Hat
Just a few different scraps of glitter iron-on make this the perfect unicorn horn hat! It sure would be great to have the Cricut Hat Press for this one!
Coash Inspired Naruto Shoes
I found a collection of Coach/Naruto clothing in a shop window in NYC and just knew I had to make my own version. These Hidden Leaf Village symbols are easy to cut out of scraps of iron-on vinyl.
Layered Iron-on Pillow
Cut a fun pillow pattern out of several different colors of iron-on vinyl, that way you can use all those little pieces and scraps of iron-on that are piling up!
Millennium Falcon Shirt
This shirt wasn't made with scraps I'm afraid, but it could easily be made with iron-on scraps. Just line them up on your Cricut Mat and have it cut out all the shapes--a variety of colors would be awesome!
Tribal Tote Bag
For this tribal tote bag, you can easily use strips of leftover iron-on vinyl. I am constantly cutting the sides off of projects because I don't need the full 11.5 inches wide. I have piles of 2-3 inch pieces in long strips just ready for a project like this!
Glitter Iron on Hat
All this glitter iron-on hat needs is a little iron-on piece leftover from another Cricut project. In fact, you could even cut it out by hand...but I wouldn't! Haha.
Again, if you are going to be doing a lot of hats, I'd recommend getting the Cricut Hat Press.
Cactus Faux Leather Tote
This cute tote is similar to the Millennium Falcon shirt above. It's just a cute polka dot pattern that could easily be made with a variety of scrap iron-on pieces stashed away!
This cute shirt was a little doodle sketched out by my sister. I just scanned it into my computer and split it into 3 layers.
Then I just used wide scraps I had and made these cute little penguins just come to life on this shirt.
That's it!
Hopefully this gives you some inspiration on what to do with those little scraps of Heat Transfer Vinyl, HTV or Iron-on in all its varieties.
