Best Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe!
Here's the best chocolate chip cookie recipe.
I love chocolate chip cookies and this recipe is my tried and true favorite. I've developed it over the past decade or so!
This chocolate chip cookie recipe uses 9 ingredients--recipe at the end of post.
When it comes to cookies, I'm in love.
But I'm super picky about my cookies too.
They have to be made with real butter.
They have to have oats.
I love them crisp on the edge, but soft and chewy too.
And chocolate.
They have to have loads of visible dark chocolate chips...the darker the better.
To combat my pickiness, I developed my own recipe through lots of trial.
I created the perfect cookie dough base recipe that is ideal for any kind of desired mix-ins.
Essentially this recipe is a standard "double batch" of cookies with an extra dose of mix-ins.
My most favorite mix-ins is Dark Chocolate Chunks and then sprinkled with Flake Salt after they are done baking.
Ingredients Needed for Chocolate Chip Cookies:
- 1.5 Cups Butter
- 1.5 Cups Brown Sugar
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla
- 1 Cup Oats
- 1 Tablespoon Baking Soda
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 3.5-4 Cups Flour
Step 1: Mix Wet Ingredients
Mix room temperature butter and sugars and blend until smooth.
Then mix in eggs and vanilla.
Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients
Then add dry ingredients. Oats, flour, baking soda and salt.
Step 3: Mix-ins!
Mix and then split the dough into 3 parts.
Mix-in different toppings to make a variety of the best cookies ever.
This dough also freezes beautifully to make and bake cookies later.
Step 4: Bake
Roll out cookies or drop them using a cookie scoop on a parchment covered baking sheet.
Bake for 8-9 minutes.
Let them sit on the hot baking sheet at least 5 more minutes before moving to a cooling rack.
This lets the cookies bake the rest of the way.
Step 5: Topping
After baking, add a few more chocolate chunks, chips, m&m's, nuts or other candy on top for the most beautiful presentation.
Add whatever candy you like to the cookies.
Here's some mix-in combos I like:
Pick 3 or 5!
Just split up the dough and add in whatever you want!
If you want to make edible cookie dough, remove the eggs and add 3 Tablespoons of milk instead.
Bake the flour for a few minutes to make sure it's edible if you want to.
Or live dangerously and eat the raw cookie dough as is. It's so good.
