Washi Tape Valentine Cards
I love making fancy Valentine's. One year, way back in my childhood (circa 1988), my mom helped us make the most epic handmade Valentine's.
They had doilies, stickers, ribbon, layers, and fancy gold frames...they were a dream come true for this crafty child. I sat at the kitchen table for hours making one after another.
Just about 10 years after that my mom passed away.
But about a year ago, I rummaged through my mom's supplies at my childhood home (my step mom is so patient and amazing to leave my mom's supplies untouched).
I found these fabulous gold paper frames and instantly those memories of the Valentine craft day of my childhood flooded my mind.
I took all the little gold frames for myself...so after doing the math of when my mom got them at Zim's craft store BEFORE I was born--they are at least 45 years old! They've held up remarkably well!

She said that metallics are neutrals and can be mixed and matched in any outfit...which can also be applied to home decor.

Crepe Paper Flower Bouquet
I love paper flowers.
They make me so happy.
I am so allergic to flowers, their sweet scents are just ghastly to my sinuses and I start to get flu-like symptoms, so it takes me a couple days to realize that the issue is with the flowers.
I think this is where my love of paper flowers and faux succulents comes in.
I love not having to worry about all the side effect of real flowers.
