Fallout 76 Recipe: Deathclaw Wellington
Fallout's wasteland has a rich landscape and unusual irradiated animals, that lend to unique and fun recipes!
Let's make the best Deathclaw Wellingtons we can with supplies from the wasteland!
The official Fallout Deathclaw Wellington Recipe:
- 2 Boiled water
- 2 Deathclaw egg
- 2 Deathclaw meat
- 2 Pepper
- 1 Wood
The deathclaw wellington is described as a slab of deathclaw meat which has been wrapped in dough and baked in a tin.
So these are a simple party recipe that can be made in bulk, not as exciting as a beef wellington, but fits right in with the post-apocalyptic wasteland!
Deathclaw in Fallout 4: (aka, scariest part of my playthrough!)
In Fallout 4, the first appearance of a Deathclaw occurs during the main questline, specifically in the mission "When Freedom Calls." The player character, known as the Sole Survivor, is tasked with assisting the Minutemen in liberating the town of Concord from a group of Raiders led by a man named Jared.
As the Sole Survivor and the Minutemen enter Concord and engage in combat with the Raiders, a suit of Power Armor is discovered inside the Museum of Freedom. Upon donning the Power Armor and proceeding through the mission, the player encounters a Deathclaw that bursts out of the ground near the center of Concord.
This encounter serves as a pivotal moment in the game, as it introduces players to one of the most formidable enemies in the Fallout universe. The Deathclaw's appearance is dramatic and unexpected, catching players off guard and forcing them to confront the creature's immense strength and ferocity.
The battle with the Deathclaw is intense and challenging, requiring players to utilize their weapons, skills, and the Power Armor's protective capabilities to survive. Successfully defeating the Deathclaw marks a significant milestone in the player's journey and establishes them as a superior force in the post-apocalyptic wasteland of Fallout 4.
Ingredients and Supplies Needed for Deathclaw Wellingtons:
- Crescent Rolls or Crescent Roll dough (I used 2 packages of 8)
- Little Smokies (or equivalent meat item)
- Baking Sheet lined with foil or silicone baking sheet
- Blood Leaf Aioli (A-bomb dipping sauce)
This super simple recipe is lovingly called "pigs in a blanket" around some places.
I've also used them for a Star Wars party and called them "Huts in a blanket".
Step 1: Roll Up Crescents
Begin by popping open a crescent roll tube...the jack-in-the-box for adults, right!?
Pull out the crescent roll dough and lay them out in triangles...if you are using dough, just roll it into one big circle and cut it like a pizza, making lots of triangle pieces to roll like crescents.
Place a little smokie in the wide part of the triangle and then roll it up like you would a crescent roll.
Place the death claw wellingtons on the baking pan.
Step 2: Bake
After rolling up all the smokie crescents, bake them in the oven according to package directions.
I did 350* for 15 minutes.
It was perfect to make sure the insides were completely cooked.
There you have it!
The Deathclaw Wellington...the fanciest fair in the waste land!
What is a Deathclaw?
A Death claw is a formidable and iconic creature in the Fallout series, known for its ferocity, strength, and imposing appearance.
These creatures are genetically engineered predators created before the Great War as part of a government experiment gone wrong.
Standing several meters tall and covered in thick, scaly skin, Deathclaws possess razor-sharp claws and teeth, making them incredibly dangerous adversaries.
They are highly aggressive and territorial, often attacking anything that crosses their path with relentless aggression.
Encounters with Deathclaws are feared by wastelanders due to their formidable combat abilities and the significant threat they pose to even experienced survivors.
Deathclaw Wellingtons go great with a bottle of Nuka Cola and some Bloodleaf Aioli dipping sauce.
