On Fallout 76, the inflation is real.

The Lemonade Stand is a random encounter that can spawn in all regions of the map!
A wooden lemonade stand with blue and yellow balloons.
The sign reads LÆŽMONADE $50 and the O has a little flower drawn around it.
A yellow Mr. Handy, Mr. Squeeze, sits at the stand selling lemonade.
Mr. Handy is a fictional robot character in the Fallout video game series, renowned for its distinctive appearance and helpful demeanor.
Originally manufactured by General Atomics International before the Great War, Mr. Handy robots were designed to serve as domestic assistants, performing a wide range of household tasks to make life easier for their owners.
In the Fallout universe, Mr. Handy robots survived the nuclear apocalypse and continue to operate in the post-apocalyptic wasteland. There's a few variations too! Mr. Gutsy and Miss. Nanny.
These robots are often encountered by players as they explore the ruins of pre-war buildings and settlements. Despite the devastation wrought by the war, Mr. Handy robots diligently continue their assigned tasks, whether it be cleaning, cooking, or providing information to survivors.
Mr. Handy's iconic design features a spherical body with multiple extendable arms equipped with various tools and implements, including saws, flamethrowers, and buzz saws.
While they are programmed to be helpful and polite, some Mr. Handy units have developed eccentric personalities or glitches over the years, leading to humorous and sometimes unpredictable interactions with players.
Throughout the Fallout series, Mr. Handy robots serve as both allies and obstacles, depending on the player's actions and choices.
Some Mr. Handy units may offer valuable assistance or information, while others may become hostile if provoked or if their programming malfunctions.
Overall, Mr. Handy embodies the blend of retro-futuristic technology and dark humor that defines the Fallout universe.
Its enduring presence in the post-apocalyptic wasteland serves as a reminder of humanity's ingenuity and the resilience of artificial intelligence in the face of adversity.
So save yourself 50 caps and make this refreshing beverage on your own!
It's super easy to make, is crystal clear, lasts a couple weeks in the fridge and is a perfect drink for parties, events and occasions.
Set up a lemonade stand and sell some to the neighborhood on a hot Summer day.
Hope you enjoy this recipe from my childhood!
Served in a dusty mason canning jar is the way that Mr. Squeeze would want his lemonade served.
I found some fun little canning jar shot glasses and they are a favorite around here.
Or just serve in any size canning jar and enjoy the clear tart lemon-ish drink!
Growing up, we used to make this on April Fool's day, because it's clear--we'd trick people into thinking it was water and serve red water as well.
We've served it at big family parties and weddings--because it's clear it doesn't stain everything when it gets spilled.
So save the recipe for later!
Ingredients Needed for Mr. Squeeze Lemonade:
(also know as Citric Acid Lemonade Drink) Makes 1 Quart
- 1 Cup Hot Water
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Citric Acid
- 3 Cups Ice Water
Step 1: Warm Water
Just like the Fallout recipe requires wood...you need to heat up 1 cup of water.
I just microwave it for a minute.
Step 2: Sugar and Acid
Pour 1/2 Cup of sugar into the warm water.
Then add one teaspoon of Citric Acid into the sugar water and stir until dissolved and the water is clear.
Okay, you don't have to stir it non stop, but let it stand until the sugar dissolves...about 3-5 minutes is all it takes.
See how clear the mixture becomes!?
To the untrained eye, it looks just like water.
I love that there is no added dyes or colorants in this drink.
Step 3: Ice Water
Finally, add 3 cups of ice water to the mix.
I pour in ice into my mixing container until it's close to the 4 cup line (since we already have 1 cup of warm water in there)
Then I pour filtered water over the top until the 4 cup mark is reached perfectly.
Then give the lemonade a gentle stir and it's ready to pour into canning jars and serve or sell at your lemonade stand!
Here's the recipe scaled for a Gallon, in case you want to serve a crowd!
Citric Acid Lemonade Recipe: (1 Gallon)
- 4 Cups Warm Water
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 4 teaspoons of Citric Acid
- 12 Cups of Ice Water
Add the sugar and citric acid to the warm water, stir until dissolved then add the ice water.
Stir and enjoy!
You can add some lemon extract to the mix, but I don't even bother.
It's got a fun acidic sweet flavor that is sufficient for my taste buds.
That's it!
Fresh lemon-ish lemonade drink that Mr. Squeeze would be proud of!
Serve it to all the Vault Dwellers in need of a drink--they will love it.
