Fallout 76 Recipe: Nuka Bottle Dog
If you've always wanted to make the Nuka Bottle Dog--here's a step by step!
The Nuka Bottle Dog is a new recipe and reward food at Nuka World on Tour in Fallout 76.
Okay, let's just get this out there.
Yes, there is a very phallic vibe to the Nuka Bottle Dog, it's not just mine...it's a corn dog in general.
Yes, still, my family and I laughed and joked about all the references here.
It's still an iconic carnival fair sensation that I just had to try...and I could do it better if I had a few different supplies, but let's get into it and you can see what changes you will make for yours!
Alright, the Nuka Bottle Dog.
Not to be confused with the Nuka Dog.
There are in fact, 2 different plans and 2 different versions of the infamous corn dog on Fallout 76.
The Nuka Bottle Dog, has that Nuka Rocket Bottle shape, and I love them.
There's a free one hanging out in the center of Nuka World on Tour...in the Nuka Launcher cart near the clown that sells balloons...Chloe the Handy clown.
Fallout 76 Nuka Bottle Dog Recipe:
- 2 Brahmin meat
- 3 Wood
- 1 Razorgrain flour
I'm surprised it isn't made with corn, because it's a corn dog...but whatever.
I used a recipe that includes corn meal and flour, so the razorgrain works.
You can get the Nuka Bottle Dog (or Nuka Dog) plan from completing the Tunnel of Love event--there's a 9% chance to get any of the plans--so make sure you do the Tunnel of Love every time it's on.
The Nuka World on Tour recipes are rare and sell well!
These are the perfectly little formed Nuka Bottle Rockets...I know it's a video game, there just HAS to be a better way to make these at home.
I think if I had a deep fryer it would have been better, as I was just laying it sideways in a frying pan.
Supplies and Ingredients Needed for Nuka Bottle Dog:
- Smoked Polish Sausages
- Potatoes (one potato per Nuka Bottle Dog)
- 1 Cup Cornmeal
- 1 Cup Flour
- 1/4 Cup Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Baking Soda
- 1 Cup Buttermilk (or 1 Cup Milk with 1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar)
- 1 Tablespoon Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Pepper
- 1 egg
- Cornstarch
- Oil and Frying pan
- Wooden Skewers
- Toothpicks
Step 1: Sticks
Start by sticking a dowel into a smoked sausage.
Step 2: Carve Potatoes
Now carve a potato into all the rocket parts.
Carve 4 fins for the bottom of the rocket and a nose cone for the tip of the rocket dog.
Step 3: Toothpicks
Use toothpicks cut in half to secure the potato pieces into the sausage.
Use 2 toothpicks in each potato so they don't spin around when you dip them in the batter.
So, four of the fins around the bottom of the hot dog.
And two toothpicks into the potato for the nose cone of the rocket.
Step 4: Batter and Fry
Mix up the corn meal batter.
Just mix the corn meal, flour, buttermilk, egg, salt, pepper, baking soda and sugar.
It is a pretty thick batter...dip the potato dog in the batter and use a spoon to pour batter all over all the parts of the nuka bottle dog.
Then put it in hot frying oil, I think mine was too hot and the batter started to pull away from the dog, plus I used a frying pan and had to lay it on its side.
If I could just drop straight down into a fryer, that would be great!
Take out of the fryer, drain excess oil on a paper towel and then serve with dipping sauce...I recommend this bloodleaf aioli sauce!
Enjoy these Nuka Bottle Dogs and make all kinds of inappropriate jokes about them. lol.
Just remind everyone that the potatoes are stuck inside with toothpicks.
If you are giving to kids, I'd just remove them from the start...not as much fun, but then the stick is sure to be removed completely.
That's it!
It was fun to try to make these Nuka Bottle Dogs from Fallout 76 and they weren't a complete fail...although they aren't perfect.
