Step 2: Setting up the Christmas Tree
My 7 foot Prince Flock pencil tree was super easy to put together.
The tree arrives in 3 sections, there's a base, a storage bag, gloves and the instructions/remote.
The base opens into a 4 legged tree stand and the tree section labeled A slides right into it, screw in firmly.
The best part--there are no wires to attach--no plugs to connect as you slide the tree segments together.
Just click them into place and they automatically light up.
I don't know how it works, but it's amazing! It's so easy.
The branches have bent boughs, so when it stands up, the boughs just tilt down into place with minimal arranging.
Seriously, I was so surprised that all it took to light up the whole tree was just to connect the poles.
This was the easiest Christmas tree set up I have ever done.
It took 2 minutes to unpack and install...and 2 minutes to take down.
I've used cheaper trees in the past (lol, last year) and I had to replace nearly 100 light bulbs on my tree just to get it to light up.
This tree is super high quality and will last for years.
Step 3: Lighting
The LED lights are amazing, they are much smaller than typical Christmas tree lights and they have 8 different functions for lighting.
The lights are warm white LED lights, with a life expectancy of 25,000 hours.
If used for 8 hours a day, these LED lights would last around 8.5 years.
Longevity can vary slightly based on factors like heat and power surges, but it’s generally a very durable and long-lasting option.
If one bulb goes out, the rest of the strand will still remain lit!
It's great for ambiance and mood lighting in the home for Christmas eve.
The remote easily controls the lights, if it points at the foot pedal...this took a little figuring out, so yah, aim at the floor.
Or just step on the foot pedal, which will cycle through all 8 functions of the lights before shutting off.
I love the height of my seven foot tall tree.
It fits in my house with enough room on top for a tree topper or just enough space to not look crowded.
I love the full, flocked branches!
I've never had a flocked tree before, but I've wanted one for the last couple years and it lives up to the hype!
It's like a Winter Wonderland indoors!
(Note: the cats were instantly interested and had to be monitored, as I did not want them chewing the branches...Christmas trees are hard with cats in general.)
Step 4: Decorating
The flocking is very secure, but as I fluffed branches and added decorations, there was some of the flocking that came loose and had to be swept up after decorating.
It's not a big deal, but that's the liability that comes with a flocked tree...still I really love the flocking and the muted green effect.
The branches are strong and sturdy, great for all kinds of ornaments, picks and garlands.
I love a pencil tree because it is so easy to decorate and fill with ornaments!
Step 5: Storage
The tree comes with a big zip up storage bag that is super easy to take down the Christmas tree and store in a cool, dry place until the next year.
This bag makes it so easy to store the tree (yes, it all fits inside it easily) and carry it to the loft for seasonal storage.
The tree is just super lightly tucked inside the bag and not crushed or even the branches flattened down...so it will be super easy to get back up in a couple months for the holiday season.
I'm really happy about this high quality tree and will use it for years to come.

Why Do We Use Christmas Trees?
The tradition of using Christmas trees dates back to ancient pagan winter celebrations, where evergreen trees were seen as symbols of life and renewal during the darkest days of the year. The ancient Egyptians, Romans, and Druids used evergreen boughs to decorate their homes, believing these plants kept away evil spirits and symbolized eternal life.
The modern Christmas tree tradition is most commonly attributed to Germany in the 16th century, when devout Christians began bringing entire evergreen trees into their homes and decorating them. The practice became popularized in England and the United States in the 19th century, thanks to Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, who famously displayed a decorated Christmas tree in their home, inspiring others to follow suit.
Today, Christmas trees are a central symbol of the holiday season, representing joy, celebration, and the enduring spirit of the festive period.
