Create Personalized Custom Gifts (DIY with HTVRONT)
Learn how easy it is to create unique personalized gifts for a family member, a best friend, school teacher or neighbor.
The perfect gift for a special occasion is one with a personal touch!
Capture special moments or use unique designs to make the perfect anniversary present, birthday gifts, baby showers, wedding gifts, new home warming gifts or the perfect present for this holiday season.
Let's get started!
Quick Story:
I have a friend who's name is Hellen, spelled with 2 L's.
She is a bit older and says all growing up she would search and search at gift shops to find anything with her name on it.
She usually found plenty of Helen's...but never Hellen.
I decided that I would make her a bunch of stuff, personalized with her tricky name so she felt loved and important this holiday season.
Customizing gifts is so much fun, it just makes it so much more special and meaningful...and harder to get ride of!
I'll show you what I did and you can customize your own design for your favorite people too!
**NOTE: in today's lovely world, it's best not to include personal information, including names or cell phone number on children's clothes, backpacks, or things "strangers" would be able to identify them from, etc.
Supplies Needed for Personalized Gifts:
- Sublimation Printer
- Hiipoo Sublimation Ink for EcoTank
- Sublimation Paper
- Heat Resistant Tape
- Heat Resistant Tape Dispenser (optional but super nice)
- HTVRONT Mini3 Heat Press
- HTVRont Auto Tumbler Heat Press
- Sublimation Glass Tumbler
- Sublimation Blanks from HTVRONT (cap, glass tumbler, keychains, ceramic ornaments, etc)
Step 1: Sublimation Print
Begin by deciding what you would like to personalize all your blanks with.
I printed off several images with flowers as the background and my friend's name.
Remember to print your image in reverse, so it's the proper direction when pressed.
You can use favorite photos to make your own custom photo gifts, photo gifts are such a special gift, but names are just as fun.
Everyone wants things with their name on them, art they drew or a special message from a loved one.
PERSONALIZED GIFT 1: NAME KEYCHAIN
Let's start with this sublimation keychain.
Begin by removing the clear plastic cover on the blank.
Nearly every blank I've seen has one, so make sure before sublimating that it's removed.
Place the blank on the sublimation paper and tape in place with heat resistant tape.
It works best to just sublimate one side of the keychain at a time.
Cover the keychain with paper or teflon sheet and press with the HTVRONT Mini Heat Press 3.
Repeat the process for the other side of the keychain after it cools down.
Settings: 390*F for 60 seconds on each side.
Finally use pliers to attach the keychain hardware to the sublimated keychain.
Add the cute tassel and it makes the perfect gift tags, stocking tags or stocking stuffers!
PERSONALIZED GIFT 2: NAME ORNAMENT
Christmas ornaments are a great gift too.
Customize them with a child's drawing, photograph or even a love note written by someone long passed. (see this post here)
I'm making a flowery Hellen ornament for my friend.
Print it off with a sublimation printer in reverse and it's ready to go.
Tape the ceramic ornament to the sublimation paper, being mindful of the edges of the design so it fits perfectly.
Then tape it in place.
Turn the ornament over so the paper is on top.
Cover with a piece of paper or teflon sheet and press with the heat press.
Settings: 390*F for 2-3 minutes.
Then cool down completely, remove the tape and paper and tie a ribbon to it.
PERSONALIZED GIFT 3: NAME HAT
Let's customize a simple ball cap with some sunflowers and Hellen's name.
Again, anything you can think of, you can print and sublimate onto these blanks or anything 100% polyester.
I rough tore around the edges, so the sublimation wouldn't leave a sharp crease line.
Then use heat resistant tape to tape it in place on the hat.
I love the HTVRONT Hat Heat Press, it's plug and play...no apps or additions needed.
Settings for Hat Sublimation: 400*F for 2-3 minutes.
NOTE: Be sure to cover the sublimation paper with a teflon sheet or parchment paper.
I forgot this and there is some residual yellowing on the hat.
So cover and then press with the curved hat heat press.
Let the hat cool down and peel of the sublimation and tape.
I love the reveal--it's so satisfying to see the dull colors of the sublimation print transform into vivid and bright colors on the custom product!
PERSONALIZED GIFT 4: GLASS TUMBLER
Glass tumblers are by far my FAVORITE of the sublimation blanks and photo products available.
I love how they turn out!
Begin by measuring the tumbler and printing out an image that will fit on the tumbler.
I am doing 2 identical images so they can be seen on both sides.
This is a 16 oz tumbler in the frosted glass variety, they also come in clear.
Tape all around the sublimation paper and then just insert it into the HTVRONT Auto Tumbler Heat Press.
Because this will have to rotate to get all the sublimation paper heated, I do it at 400*F for 200 seconds and then rotate and repeat.
Once it's done in the heat press, remove it with gloves and let it cool down completely.
Then remove the sublimation paper and tape for the glorious reveal!
See, the best Christmas presents are unique gifts that are customized for the gift recipient!
It comes with the bamboo lid, a straw and a straw cleaner...totally set up for success.
I haven't seen sublimation wine glasses yet, but these glass beer cans are really awesome gift ideas.
Now get a fun home décor basket and stuff it full of tissue paper.
Then fill it with all the custom gifts for the perfect lasting impression.
You can wrap up each individual item or just let them show for that added excitement!
These kind presents are the best, they may take a little extra time, but it's totally worth it.
Then add a hand written note for the recipient!
I love being able to create personalized gifts!
You can get all kinds of sublimation blanks, so customization is limitless!
I also included a button, made with my friends name, and HTVRONT's Button Maker. (see this post here)
And a stocking tag or acrylic ornament with my friends name in vinyl. (see this post here)
That's it!
It's easy to make a personalized gift basket filled with custom gifts for a personal or a family.
Sublimation makes it so easy to customize blanks with photographs, unique designs and even hand written text or art!
I love giving useful gifts with personalization to make them so much more meaningful.
