Anyone can just buy something to hang on the tree, but a DIY or hand crafted ornament has so much more history.

When my mom died, I asked for a couple of her salt dough Christmas ornaments to treasure as heirlooms, they are easy to store and reminisce when you pull them out year after year.

They bring back a flood of memories when I hang them up on my tree year after year.

Making new ornaments every year is so much fun, remember a first Christmas together, enjoy some extra fun crafting time with little kids, cookie cutters, and acrylic paint or make salt dough handprint ornaments to remember those precious milestones from year to year.
