Step 2: Arrange Flowers

Now is the fun part, work carefully with the gentle blossoms.

Take the pressed flowers from the flower press studio and arrange them on the open frame in your original design like flower artwork.

There really is no wrong way to do it...and it only takes about 5-7 flowers in each frame.

Typically you'll want to arrange them in a single layer of petals or flowers, because if it gets too thick inside the panes of glass, the clasp won't lock.

Make your floral art flow.

Pick larger flowers for the bottom edge and side, then dance smaller flowers around the top and edges.

Step 3: Clasp Lock

After you are pleased with the arrangement of flowers, keep the frame on the table and fold the top over.

Then slide the pin into the opening, locking it closed.

Now it is ready to hang and display, give as a gift for a special occasion or teach classes how to make their own.

No glue or adhesives are used, so the frame is changeable if you pick some new flowers and want to change it out.

HOW TO TEACH A PRESSED FLOWER ARRANGEMENT CLASS:

If you are teaching these for a class, have a variety of colored pre-pressed flowers for your class to choose from.

Have them select 5-7 flowers on a paper plate, like they are in a cafeteria line, using tweezers or gloved hands.

Then let them sit and arrange what they have, adding a leaf or blossom as needed.

I love the octagon shaped frames; but there are hearts, moon shaped, circles, and rectangles.

These frames cost around $6 each and the flowers will add another dollar or two.

Gage interest, ask local shops (think coffee or crepe shops) if you can host it in their store, maybe there's a local artisan group near you...there are so many ways to make this craft a little side hustle.
