About Doodlecraft

Hi! I’m Natalie Shaw, the creator of Doodlecraft, and I want to craft and create beautiful things with you. This website is perfect for serial crafters, craft-a-holics, beginners and every level in between.

I love trying new techniques/trends and sharing all the details with my readers so your first try at the project is a success! I'll walk you through the creation process with big pictures and videos and take all the guess work out of creating.

I am a Play-at-Home mom of 3...and they, with my husband, are my partners in crime. Okay, my kids are not "kids" anymore...my adult and teenage kids used to work with me everyday as we homeschooled through life. Now they craft on their own, they are creative and fun and fuel much of my love for parties and more grown up crafts.

I have been crafting since I was old enough to sit up. My mom was an avid crafter and worked for a big craft store where she designed projects way before the days of Pinterest, so naturally I have filled her shoes. I started this blog on Valentine's day in 2011 when my husband joined the Army--it was our first Valentine's day apart, and I was lonely.

I post budget conscious DIY’s, crafts, recipes, jewelry, kid friendly projects, upcycled treasures, some major geekery and other fun on my blog 3 days a week.
