Felt Journal Slipcovers!
Great for Summer Camp or Back to School!
Perfect craft for kids and teens...and then they have a
journal to keep track of fun memories!
Supplies:
Felt
Notebook (I used mini composition books, 3 for $1)
Scissors
Hot glue or fabric glue
Directions:
Cut a piece of felt for the cover.
It should be ½” taller than your notebook (so ¼” will hang
over on the top and bottom edge)
It should be able to wrap around your book and have 5
additional inches, so you end up with 2 ½” excess on either end to make the
pockets
With the notebook in place, mark where the flaps should fold
over.
Run a thin strip of hot glue along the top and bottom edge
and fold over the flap.
Leaving a pocket.
Repeat for the other side.
(if using fabric glue, secure with clothespins and let dry
completely)
Then slip the top cover into the flap pocket and repeat for
the back cover.
Decorate with more felt and glue.
