Welcome back to T-Shirt week--all week long--cool shirt DIY's!
Lion and Unicorn!
Gold Glitter Heat Transfer Vinyl T-shirt!
So, my kids and I were watching Sabrina the Teenage Witch
a while back...the college season.
I used to watch it all the time when I was in High school...did you ever watch it?
Anyway, Sabrina's roommate, Morgan, was wearing this sweater.
I paused the show and snapped a picture. I knew I could recreate this.
Morgan's shirt was a horse and possibly a lion...hard to tell.
But I knew I could do the Lion and the Unicorn...like this nursery rhyme:
The Lion and the Unicorn
The lion and the unicorn were fighting for the crown
The lion beat the unicorn all around the town.
Some gave them white bread, and some gave them brown;
Some gave them plum cake and drummed them out of town.
So I designed this image:
Right click to save off...personal use only please!
(Place the plastic side down on the cutting mat. Reverse the image in Silhouette Studio.
Cut according to the Heat Transfer vinyl flocked material settings)
Weeded it to remove the excess vinyl.
Place it down on this fabulous fitted t-shirt from Gildan!
Place a tea towel over the top and iron over the towel for a minute or two.
Then the iron can iron directly on the plastic.
Iron every edge and peel off the plastic carefully, continue to iron as necessary.
Place the tea towel back on top (after the plastic is removed)
and iron again for a minute or two.
Then make a million!
They are classy, trendy and totally spot on!
I love how the Glitter vinyl looks!
We had a girl cousin party and made everyone a matching shirt!
Even I was wearing one! They are really just so perfect!
Since my husband and older son were at scout camp,
the 6 year old son had to hang out with the girls.
So we made him his own version of the shirt!
It's the Lion, wearing the crown, eating the Unicorn head.
It's still gold and glittery,
but it was a nice "masculine" version of the crest logo!
So much fun!
I love the Glitter Heat Transfer Vinyl. It is amazing!
I just buy it from Silhouette here.
(I don't get paid to say that...nor commissions if you buy some)
