Squid Ink Pasta and Eyeballs!
This is a great Halloween version of Spaghetti and meatballs!
First make up some meatballs:
3 lbs. of ground beef
1 cup of oats
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of onion salt
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
~
mix together
Add 2 Tablespoons of Parmesan cheese
and 2 eggs...
Smoosh and roll into balls and place in a baking dish.
Bake 350* for 1 hour.
Then remove and drain grease.
Pour some spaghetti sauce over the top and return to the oven for 10 minutes.
While that's baking, cook the Pasta!
Pasta with Black Squid ink!
It tastes like regular pasta...not enough squid ink to
change the flavor, just to give it that black color!
Just bring water to boil, add noodles and cook for about 7 minutes.
Serve immediately.
I used some soft cheese and spooned out a ball.
Cut the top to make a peg.
And slipped on a sliced olive...
Just like 3 creepy eyes.
Add the meatballs to the pasta and the cheese on top!
Perfect, sort-of-creepy Halloween dinner!
(actually, it upset my 7 year old enough he didn't want to even try it...but
after coxing him, he enjoyed the meatballs...not the pasta)
